Hello,

I have tried to install a MIP stinger on my dodge ram yesterday.
The screws are 3mm but I found out that they are not metric screws.
With kyosho I am used to metric and I did not know that non metric
screws were used in RC.

As far as you know, which brends use metric and non metric screws?

BTW: Thanks to MikeF for his recommandation on the MIP stinger
it really fits nicely in the dodge ram and it prevents sending
oil on the right rear wheel.

Hello,
I bought the stinger for my T-Maxx and proceeded to lose one of the non
metric scews. So I drilled out the header and just used 3mm bolts and nuts.
It works good and I don't have to worry about have different screws in my
parts box.

So you mean that most of screws are metric in States for RC products?

I also thougt of doing this with a 2.5 M screw nuts and a good quantity
of loctite.
With that I would not need to drill out the header.
What do you think of that?

BTW, how often do you change the "joint" between the muffler and the
motor exhaust?

Your welcome.
Hows the frankendodge coming along anyway?

If i recall correctly, (and i usually dont), i drilled the holes in the
exhaust out and just used 3mm screws with locknuts to hold the header on.
That way, i dont need to carry SAE hex drivers with me when i play.

So you mean that most RC builder use metric screws?

When do you know if you must change the join between
the motor exhaust and the muffler?
