Gilles: I am going to be using the (Suppo A7035/9) from www.rchotdeals.com for my 33% Sukhoi. Motor is rated @ 120 Amps max @ 4400 Watts on 37.0 Volts, @ 6512 rpm spinning a 24x12 prop. I'll be using a Castle Creations 110 HV ESC. Hope this helps you.
Cheers: Joe

Big China motors are only good for easy planes like Cubs Spacewalkers etc. Not when you want some aerobatic performance. They do not hold up well. Bearings will fail, magnets eject etc.

I Agree, bad suport to the bell and its magnets, berings and magnets will fail, its also abit heavy for 50cc conversion.
Have e look at Hacker

From experience: Hacker A60-18L on 12S 5,000. Castle 110HV esc and 24X10 or 24X12
Will pull a 17lb plane vertical easy.

hello,
thanks a lot
i understand what you mean with chineese motors
my purpose is not 3D flight all the time
only simple and basic aerobatics, and fly some times only,
i suppose chineese motor would be enought, but i'll check all others motors.
thanks

I'd say if he was replacing a 56cc engine in a 100" wingspan plane he was doing next to zero 3D. :D I'd say if you were happy with that small of an engine on such a large plane, the Chinese motors would be more than sufficient.

One of our 1527/1.5Y/6.7HD motors would be more than enough for your 100 inch plane with a APC 26/16 prop on 10 or 12S. It is a light and very powerful power system. http://www.neumotors.com/Site/1500_series_.html If it is under 20 lbs then a 1521/2Y would also do the job well also.
FYI the Hacker A50 motors are Chinese made.

I'll be running an AXI 5345 on 12S lipos and a CC HV 110 in a 72" Cox Pitts M12. Should swing a 22" prop with no problem. Might be enough power for you. The Pitts is supposed to weigh in around 20lbs.

Would that be better than the 2215 BAM on 12S that I have in my 103 inch plane?
