I got the wings, horizontal stabilizers, and rudder surface for a TOC-Aviation 1/3 scale yak-54, from Reverend Russ over at rcuniverse (GREAT guy, would buy from him again for sure).

Sooo, it looks like i need to build a fuselage (or buy one). This is going to be electric, so the fuse dosen't need to be terribly over-built. Has anyone had any experience building a yak-54 fuselage, or know where i can buy a spare TOC 1/3-scale yak-54 fuse? I've looked and looked, but can't seem to find anyone selling it :(

Also, if anyone has plans (or can point me to a place where i can get some) that would be great!

thanks in advance!!

Parkfly: Tom @ www.valleyviewrc.com is a TOC Aviation Dealer, he just might have a spare fuse or could order one for you. Good Luck: Joe :)

Anyone have more info? I looked at the price for a new fuselage, and want to build my own ;)

Here's the power system i will use:

Turnigy SK 63-74 170KV

Zippy Flightmax 5000mah 5S 20C (2 in series)

26X12 wood prop

turnigy sentilon 100A 10-12S HV

Hope to have it finished by the scale fly-in here may 2!

Hi Parkfly,

Which Yak is it? They have a 30%, 33%, 35%, and 37.5%. The 33% has a ~97" ws. It is now distributed by Thunder Tiger/Ace Hobbies in the US, ( www.acehobbies.com ) so you could check with them regarding a fuse.

One more option is to talk with Tony at www.pilot-rc.com . They build a plane that is very similar although the color scheme is different. He will build parts with custom schemes and would build you a fuse to match (or uncovered). You could also check with the Pilot RC dealers like Troybuiltmodels.com or chiefaircraft.com

I know Tom at valleyview doesn't have any spares left, only full kits at this time.

Good luck with the project. That Yak is a very nice flying plane!

thanks, Terry! I just sent an email to ace hobby. If they don't have the part in stock, they can probably order it from the factory.

This is the 33% scale yak-54. I'm real into 3D, so this should be a blast! The videos look just awesome. I plan on flying it alongside my buddys' 1/3 scale extra 330 gas :D

I'm designing the fuse now on a CAD program, so i still may scratch build.
