Now I'm going to finish my project I've started back in 1989.
1930 Inland Sport R-400 in scale 1:2.8
The wing span are going to be 128 inch (325 cm).
This model is scratch buildt, using a 3-view drawing from Sport Flying 1968, and pictures from the internet.

Very nice.
You pilot needs a scarf in that cold weather though.

Love the pics with the cat.
My cat also loves to help me build. My planes are a bit smaller though so he just sits in the box. Also loves to steal any elastic bands I have.

Peppern75 - looking good! Love the HUGE scale of it and the fact that you are going to finish it over 20 years later :) That's a long wait...but your kitty seems to enjoy it :D
Cool! Please post a maiden video if you can ...

I almost missed this thread as I don't visit giant planes very often. My father flew for Inland in 1930-31--and I provided the photos in the first post for Hurst Bowers when he kitted the Inland Sport for Flyline. I will follow this thread with Interest.
I posted my own scratch built Inland S300 in the Scale column several years ago. One of my favorite planes.

Very nice plane. :) I like the dummy engine.
I have this motor in my 1/3 Piper Cub. on 10S it spins a 23x10 JXF 3D propeller at 2900 W (around 78-80 A I believe). I don't think the motor would be able to spin a 26x10 JXF propeller at 12S without burning up. Maybe at 7S or 8S.

I've followed your 1/3 Piper Cub blog on http://www.modellflynytt.no/.
I have tested the motor with 10S and 26x10 (measured 73 Amp), but I have a 24x10 JXF 3D if the current is too high with 12S.
I've used the motor calculator http://brantuas.com/ezcalc/dma1.asp, and with 12S and 26x10 the current will be 90-91 Amp
