Hey guys,
Here are a couple of photos from our Sidewalk sale from Saturday. It was a great time! Our next one will be Saturday April 11th from 10am until 2pm at our main retail location, 5614 Franklin Pike Circle Brentwood, TN 37027. Don't miss it.

Thanks,
Jason Cole

I'm in the red jacket standing next to Bobby. I picked up a Waco Bi-Plane (see my review on the website) for $50. The only things missings were the assembly screws (#1 wood screws) which I found at a local model train shop, and the wing hold-down bolts (in stock in my extensive hardware inventory), and no instructions. Fortunately, the instructions were not needed.

If you live in the Nashville area, be sure to make the next sidewalk sale, as there always good bargins to be had.

Bummer. They never had sidewalk sales when I lived nearby.

what is the red/yellow biplane at the top of the left photo?

I don't believe there were any identifying decals on the red and yellow biplane, but it was very good looking and appeared to be very well made and designed. I believe it was priced at $250 and had not sold when I left around 11:30 A.M.

I'm sure one of the Hobby-Lobby crew can provide actual details.

Verrrrry sneaky, camera guy! ;)

Ha! See the two rows of Alfa boxes with only three planes instead of four, with two upright boxes off to the right? Those would be mine, and I'd be the guy in the middle looking to see if I want to take home any others. :D (and then me again in the second picture at the top, on the phone with my Dad to see if he wants anything while I'm looking around).

And I see my wife's feet in the first picture on the right, where she patiently sat while I hunted and bargained. Huzzah! :D

I picked up an Alfa P-47 Razorback ... no damage, the factory just forgot to glue the horizontal stab in place ... and an Alfa P-47 Bubble Top "Big Ass Bird" with retracts and flaps that had very slight nicks on the wing, a small smudge in the paint, and no tail wheel (pics here: http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=44934). They had prices of $80 and $65 on them, respectively, but the guys out there let me take them both for a total of $120 + tax. I had a $100 gift certificate, so it worked out awesome!

I will definitely be at the next sale! I'm curious what the guys will have out next time. :D

Just wanted to check, is the sale still on for this Saturday? Any clues as to some of what might be out there?

Yes we are having one tomorrow. They will be gathering stuff all day today for the sale. Lots of goodies to be had I'm sure.

Thanks,
Jason Cole

what is the red/yellow biplane at the top of the left photo?
That is a Pitts model 12. The full scale is kitted by Kimball Enterprises in Florida. It had radial engine from the Sukhoi. Quique's Python is a variant of it.

Jason, you guys ought to load up some of that sidewalk sale stuff and haul it to SEFF. How cool would it be to pick up some of that rare, one-of-a-kind stuff at SEFF?

Come one, come all to the Giant Hobby-Lobby Tent Sale at SEFF! :D
