Bought a gyro that's crap and considering trying to return it.
Just wondering about the hassle factor ):

I had an ESC that was bad. I wrote them to get an approval, dropped it in regular mail (didn't want to pay extra given the price of the esc). It took quite a while, but they did credit my account. No hassle, just took several months.

Thanks.

I've been posting questions various places and haven't recieve a clear answer.
I either have a total defect or the product just doesn't work

I'm going to try an email to the manurfacturer then I'll send it back.
It may take a few months but it'll be better than have a gimp part on my closet.

I didn't have any problems with my one return to Hobby King. A defective receiver, I sent it to them and a month later I had the replacement. No hassles.

Thanks.

I just tried one more time. I sent an email direct to the manurfacturer to ask about the product.

Then I'll contact HC.

I had a battery with a bad cell - called, got the RMA, mailed it back. Had a new one back within a few weeks.

Here's another:
Do they automatically send the same item or do they issue a credit?

For me they issued a credit, so you have to pay for postage again...

Good. That would be better than sending me the same.

Took a bit I guess but I just got an email saying they shipped my parcel.
So a replacement is on the way with no extra shipping. YAY! I guess ):

I like that analogy. :D Maybe it wasn't a defect at all. Who knows if any of them worked?

I sent back a defective charger a year ago, and got a store credit 1 or 2 months later. No hassle.
