Hello,

I am looking to purchase a new battery charger that will ideally be able to charge NiCd/NiMH and SLA batteries.... and of course be cheap :D

I have been looking around but I haven't find anything in the US.

While hunting for this device, I found out that in Europe there is a lot of them like this one (http://www.graupner.de/en/newsdetail/2b1c4dfc-8d8e-4f26-adca-177e88d9f60c) .

Any idea where I can find something equivalent without importing one from Europe ?

It is time to shop locally even thought they are all made in China at least a local shop will make some money by selling it to me :o

It would help us help you if we knew what your price limit is.

Do you have a 12V power supply for a DC only charger? Or do you need an AC/DC capable charger?

Hello Kmot,

I need an AC/DC charger as I do not have any 12 V power supply.

Concerning the budget ... well as cheap as possible, so around $40 will be nice.

Personally I would consider paying a bit more and getting a computer charger, I have a Swallow DC (Multiplex 5014) ($75 US) and ALL my other chargers have become redundant. A bit more searching may turn up a cheaper equivalent.
An AC to 12 volt converter can be had for nothing from an old computer power supply or many other sources.
It charges everything from 12 v car batteries to ni-cads, SLAs, Nimh, slow or fast, even Lipo.
Easy enough to use that my wife can set it up to charge her Roomba battery :D

Nick
