Hello,

This week end I run my nitro car.

I ran half a tank.
It worked well.
Then I filled the tank again and started it.
It was ok at idle speed but when I ran it,
it stopped after a few accelerations.
It did this 3 times.
Then I had to go home and I could not try to change the tunning.

What should I suspect when you have that kind of problems.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

If you find that changing needle settings has little or no effect, there is
probably an air leak in the fuel system. Check the fuel supply hose for
cuts. Check that the carb and needle housings are well sealed.

I suspect your low-end needle may be too lean. Set the top-end needle first
to get it to rev well but not scream while holding the car in the air
(should be plenty of blue smoke), this will get the top-end needle in the
ball park. Then richen the low end by turning the needle anti-clockwise
(out) by 1/8 of a turn at a time. The engine should idle steadily for around
10 to 15 seconds then slow down and soon stall, this is ideal. If it is
happy to idle for ages then it is certainly too lean at the low-end needle.

at http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~atong/ "How to Rebuild Your Nitro Engine -

Don't do that (revving while wheels is in the air) too much though.
I've seen quite a few conrods broken that way.
