Outboard motors

hey all. I am wanting to build an offshore boat and was wondering if a
outboard motor like the ones used on tunnels could be used for it. because I
am we to this it would make a lot easier. Also what is the minimum angle for
a deep vee and could a outboard be used for a one of them??
