Basically i have a Deaf friend who is racing a 1/2 scale NASCAR. Our problem is we have no radio contact for obvious reasons, so we came up with an idea of a RC light switch. So i can inform him if someone is trying to pass on his left or right. We put together a simple system with receivers and relays, etc. but i want to build a PCB with everything integrated, and downsize the controller, with push buttons instead of an analog stick. Problem is I'm new to all of this, never played with radios before. I wondering if you have any ideas on receiver/transmitter chips. Currently have 2 LED units in the car, running of 1 channel. would maybe later like to add another channel for more lights. Any information would be much appreciated. thank you.
