Jay..two things now have come up...1) now that everything almost everything is connected, where does the BEC plug go ? 2) when connecting the Lipo to the ESC, I get a big spark from the connecting plugs just touching, not even being pluged in ! Is there a short in the system ? Didn't want to try again until I get an answer. My other electric planes do not do this !!! Now I have been told that the spark is normal, charging the capacitors. Also, that I should cut the red wire from the ESC to the receiver. Please elaborate for me.

Propicts.

Go to the knowledgebase on HL website under support .
There is a section there on wiring up the F5-E.
Also that spark you see is the ESC charging up some pretty big capacitors.
The UBEC is hooked to the BAtt connection on the Receiver and the
Throttle goes to the throttle channel. This is the servo lead that comes from the ESC. The wiring is a little different since the F5-E is now using a UBEC and it gets it's power directly from the Lipo and feeds that back through the BAtt channel or connection on the receiver.
On some receivers if this is also a channel needed for one of the control function you can just hook that UBEC servo connector to an unused channel on the receiver so it can get the power into the receiver buss.

Do NOT cut the red wire!
