I enjoyed Bernard Cawley's Controlling Interest column, but the format is "out to lunch". I can't even print it in landscape. The whole column should have been done in Acrobat. Also trying to read this format is very frustrating.I hate to complain, but this format unacceptable.

Check the article again. The format has been modified for better viewing and printing.

Rod,

The data tables are available for download as Acrobat files.

I wrestled a long time with how the heck to present that much data in HTML and finally just made the huge tables in Excel and trusted Steve to come up with something that could work.

Based on my quick look at it earlier today, it came out pretty well. There are a couple of glitches I've let Steve know about (the Star table needs the headings in the leftmost column to make any sense, and the HTML version of Table 2 (the throttle function data) is essentially missing but the .pdfs are fine. Looking at it again, I think I should've included the Star mode table in one of the .pdfs as well even though it cuts across data from the throttle function (table 2) and the BEC and Brake functions (table 3).

If you have any better ideas, I'd love to know because I have two or three more big data dumps like that in the next few months possibly.

One of the best columns presented in a while (no offense to the other columnists intended)..

Thanks, Andy. I realized in re-reading it last night that I'd intended to include some descriptions of some of the ESCs, especially where there are two major versions out there (such as the older fixed-range Castle controllers as opposed to the current self-adjusting ones).

Maybe next time......

I'm working with the webmaster to get the table presentations sorted out for the Star series Kontroniks, among other things.

Bernard, Today's version of your column is very good. Sorry if I was impatient yesterday, but it was frustrating trying to scrowl back and forth to read it. The content of your column was excellant, and I appreciate the data included in your tables.
