Well...After MUCH mucking around, I've finally got my Logo 10 pretty much
sorted!

Initially there was a violent tail twitch which, having sent the CSM 200
gyro back to Skyline, turned out to be static build up from the belt driven
tail! A GOOD squirt of a silicon based spray sorted that.

Next was a twitch on the left roll servo. Having looked hard and read harder
the forum at www.logoheli.com the advice was DON'T strap your RX battery
next to the flight pack. So it was moved. No difference. Thursday I ordered
a new servo from the original supplier, Inwoods. It arrived today and was
fitted at lunchtime and flown after work on the local car park. WHAT a
difference!!!!! No twitches a TOTALLY flyable heli!

It needs a bit of sorting and trimming and I need to go to governor mode on
the Schulze 18-46 speed controller as this seems to be the best way to
optimise performance. Does anyone know the correct dip switch settings for a
Hacker 50-13L, 14 tooth pinion.......there's excellent instructions on the
Logo forum for the Beat ESC but nothing for the Schultze, and the
instructions for the Schultze loose something in the translation.

Hi Alan,

I've never had one of the new Schulze's such as yours, but I can help a
bit, maybe, because I have used the Schlze "Future" controllers lots:)
BTW, I downloaded the manual for the new controllers, but after taking a
quick look at it, I ran away:) There are instructions for programming the
older Schulze Future controllers in the FAQ section on my site...

Your Hacker is a 2-pole motor, so you want to select the so-called "low
rpm" mode. Another choice is the timing (operating) mode - pick one of the
soft timing modes, either 9.6 or 19 kHz. I'm assuming that these two
parameters are still required with the new controller. Those would be the
hard decisions:)

BTW, the advice to keep the flight pack and its leads far away from other
electrics is very good advice:)

Glad you like your heli!

No the best translation is it Glen?

That much I did pick up...

My point exactly! I was coming to the same conclusion about the timing
though. Now I have the 3810 I'll have a fiddle and get round to setting up
the govenor mode as well!

The RX battery is now on the rear tray with the gyro securley attached on
top of it.

It flew/hovered well yesterday at the field used by the Oldham club and
caused a lot of interest with the plankers. The flight batteries had been
charged the night before and both gave flights of about 5 - 6 minutes,
hovering only and some put downs for adjustments. OK but I'm sure with a bit
of tweaking the duration will improve and as the batteries settle in that
will help.

HI Alan,

Oooops I wasn't clear enough:)

"Another choice is the timing (operating) mode - pick one of the

What I meant was that I'd ALREADY covered the hard decisions - and
narrowed down the timing choices to the two good alternatives that you get
to experiment with like everyone else! The decision made between those two
modes doesn't really matter much - there is no correct one:) Pick one or
experiment between the two.....

Cheers!

Glen
