Recently purchased this model. I had sent in an Email about changing out the motor but was told I would have to change the fan unit also. Ok ! I see a depression on the bottom of plane around the ESC. Is this the area where the fan unit is underneath ? If so, there are retainers that look like they should be removed ? If this is correct, does the fan unit lift out or does the area have to be cut out ? :confused:

Here is a photo sequence to access the fan.

Use UHU Por to glue the fan unit back in and the Red Plastic strip
back down on the bottom of the F5-E

Jay...does the fan section lift out or do you have to cut it out ?

The fan is mounted to that foam plug section that you see.
It is just pushed into the fuselage. You pull off those two plastic retainers and then
pull the foam plug out of the fuselage.
No Cutting. If you look closely at the first picture you can see the joint line in the fuselage. And the 3 and 5th photo you can see where I am just starting to pull it
out to where you can see the white edge of the foam.
I hope this makes sense.
