The Twister Skylift comes with a 6 channel 72 MHz receiver and a 4 channel transmitter. I want to change to a 2.4 GHz receiver and that brings up the question of how to power a different receiver. The 3 in 1 seems to supply power to the stock receiver thru either the throttle and rudder connectors or both. 1) Do both of these leads provide power onto a common bus to power the receiver? 2) If I change receivers, do I have to install a UBEC and disconnect the incoming power leads from the 3 in 1?

I want to add switched running lights to this bird. I could just go buy a 6 channel 72 MHz transmitter and not change the receiver, but going to 2.4 GHz now seems more useful, so that will require a new receiver.

The receiver gets power from the ESC through the throttle connection. Changing to a 2.4ghz receiver will be the same.
