Hi all
I was hoping someone can point me in the right place to look. I've had the HBCP2 for several weeks now, and of course I've had to replace parts already.
This is my first RC heli so don't know a lot on flying it yet. I can begin to get it to lift off but it always want to go to the left or right sideways just as begin to get off the ground. I move the joy stick just enough to start a hover then move the other joystick around to try to find a position where it will hover but still can't seem to.
That is where my question to you is at, I'm sure I need a lot more practice but it just doesn't seem right, I was wondering if they're were close up photos or videos of the blade section all those little parts around there and pitch angles on the paddles, I want to make sure my problem with hovering is not from something broken that I can't see or misaligned it just doesn't seem to respond like I think it would, the exploded view of the section is not clear enough for me. I just want to know that it's me not some broken/misaligned/missing part so any help with this would be much appreciated.

The first thing you need to do is make sure everything is set up correctly. You need to align the swashplate, servo arms and blade pitch. All this should be done with all trim tabs set to neutral and the throttle at mid-point, with the motor disconnected:
1. The swashplate should be level with the ground, in all planes.
2. The servo arms should be level as well.
3. The flybar paddles should be level and the blades should have 0 degrees pitch.

You are going to do this by adjusting the linkages that connect to the servos and flybar. You can do this with a real good eye. I use a pitch gauge and level tubes.

The fact that your heli wants to go left or right is a pretty good indication it's set up OK. That's perfectly normal behavior. They don't want to remain stable or hover. Even the biggest, best, most stable RC heli will only remain in one spot for a few seconds and yours is none of these. The HBCP2 is one of the most difficult CP helis to learn on. The good news is replacement parts are cheap. If you don't have training gear, you need to make some.

Thank you for your reply. I do have the training kit, it is a big help. I ran into the pitch on the paddle question after I replaced the fly-bar, by the way it is not the same as the original, it's thinner and made of metal so i had to use tooth picks as shims and still looking for other options there.
It is also good to know about the HBCP2 or any other wanting to go to the left or right, very helpful. I still would like to find close up photos and/or videos for HBCP2 for references for myself.
Sound like I picked a tough one to learn on which I like, I enjoy a good challenge, I know it's a steep learning curve but I think I'll get the hang of it soon just want to take it slow and in small steps, I'm not in a hurry I know it will come.

I did a search on youtube for HPCP2 setup and got quite a few videos. Here is a link to my search results......
