Horizon has just come out with a new integrated 6-channel Rx, ESC, and two linear servo package that looks like it would be good for something like the Lindberg tug sized conversions:

Hmm, wonder where one could get those linear servos by themselves??
ESC, 2 servos, AND three more ports for whatever... very interesting...

Ah it looks like it's a variation of the board from
the mCX Helicopter. Won't work with my DX6, but
it would certainly bind with the helicopter transmitter.
I wonder if it has two power outputs like the Helicopter
board...
Hmmmm.... the board might just fit, in a project, but
what would I do with the second servo.. http://www.dinicartoons.com/forum/images/smilies/Misc/shifty.gif

All I had to do was click on Tom's link above, then on "Optional Accessories" to find this.
My son handed me plans for a 14" Beech Staggerwing (from Fly RC magazine, free download this month). He didn't know about this radio system but it's perfect for it.

What is surprising is that the price is reasonable compared to other micro equipment!

I had been thinking about using the 4 channel 2.4Ghz radio from my Blade MCX om another project but then changed my mind as I don't know what the range is.
The Tx only runs on (4) AAs and your not going to keep a boat within the same range as you'd fly a micro heli.

The range on that transmitter is pretty good.
I had the opportunity to fly inside an open warehouse.
I flew the mCX down to the other end and back, a good 200 feet.
For a small RC boat, that is plenty far. ;)

Thats the "brick" from the Vapor. been around for awhile as spare parts.
It has a very decent range.
All these parts only come in the brick, no seperate.
