So, here's the thing. My Blackjack 55 some stock with a Prather 270/2 prop. The 270/2 is a 1/4" holed hub with a reducer sleeve to mount to the 3/16" prop shaft (why they didn't just use a 1/4" shaft is beyond me). I have purchased a Grimracer 67x105/3 and the hub is also a 1/4" and "no" reducer sleeve. Proboat used to sell the reducer sleeve seperately but has discontinued it and I have checked around and none of the prop people seem to sell them and my only local hobby shop in Victoria doesn't have anything either.
The insert sleeve has to be 1/4"OD x 3/16"ID x 5/8"L. (press fit).
Short of finding someone to machine some ($$$$) and there isn't anything equivalent at an auto parts shop, where else could I locate such a thing?

Its called a bore reducer in machine shop lingo. Try Stock Drive Products. You might even find and Oilite bushing in that size with a flange.

Thats an easy fix.Get a piece of brass tube 1/4"O.D With a 3/16"I.D .Cut a piece just shy of the length of the prob hub.An use that for the spacer..

It's not a problem of "What to do?" but rather "Where to find it?".

The way I read that link the tubing is .250 o.d. with a wall thickness of .014 X 2 equals .028 from .250 giving an inner diameter of .222 which is considerably larger than the .187 that he needs. Try this for less than $6 https://sdp-si.com/eStore/PartDetail.asp?Opener=Group&PartID=8600&GroupID=272

If the I.D Isnt right theres other sizes In there.I would not use aluminium alloy for a bushing In A high speed set..It will fuse Its self to your shaft. Also those have a groove on one side straight thru.Again not a good Idea an with the groove on the opposite side they wont hold up.Those will oblong over time If you do use them.

I just rescanned the small parts sight for you. So you didnt have to waste any of your time. This Is the brass tube you will need. Its .250 1/4"O.D The wall thickness Is .029. That would make the I.D .192" Thats about as close as you can come I believe. All you need to do Is cut Your length an run a 3/16" drill thru It to get your .187" you'll be fine ok..Also 1 36" length Is still cheaper then those Aluminium alloy's !!!I wouldnt use on steel shafts they will heat an stick them selves to them seen It happen..
