well i found a link (page) that had a bunch of info i wanted to print out to keep dockside for reference. it was a page that contained rudder positions and throttle directions for a twinscrew tug. it showed what positions for fore and rev throttle positions and rudder and what direction the boat would go and react. but i cant find it for the life of me now. i thought it was on allans boatyard but its not there. does anybody know where i can find it? i really would like to have it now that i have printer ink. :o

I use Google Notebook (https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=notebook&passive=true&nui=1&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fnotebook%2F&followup=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fnotebook%2F&hl=en)
When installed, it places a small icon on the web browser.
Whenever there's a page I want to keep, I right click the page and select "Note This" and it saves it to Google Notebook.
I can then get to those links from anywhere not just that computer.
It's link favorites but it goes with you.

The force principles should be the same as your tug, just a bit
more difficult to perform, because your boat will be unable to
control the thrust vectors as precisely.
If you consider the physics of the maneuver for a crab to the left,
Full right rudder will push the stern of your boat to the left. However,
Thrusting ahead with both propellers will move the boat forward.
To counter the forward thrust, the left propeller will be put into reverse.
This will also help to pull the bow back and to the left. Then it is just a
matter of metering the thrust magnitude to get the boat to crab sideways.

great explanation umi. i guess im not gonna find it either. its not on this computer either. (house comp) i guess it all comes down to practice. i have been thinking about a bow thruster but i dont think im going to. its xtra cost and even more work to the hull. but it would be nice to have one for the extra manuverability. but it comes down to cash. and i dont really have alot right now. and getting another esc is the priority right now. well and geting it on the water. thanks for trying. doug. :)
