I've been flying 4 channel helis for a while now and I decided to upgrade to a 6 channel. I got the Honey Bee King 3. All my mode 2 4 channels have been left stick throttle and rudder, right stick fwd/back and strafe left/right...this one has the throttle and strafing on the left, and the rudder and fwd/back on the right (as per the instruction manual...haven't turned it on yet)
This seems weird. Is there a reason for flipping the rudder over to the right stick? Can it be changed to the left one on an esky transmitter?

sounds like you have a mode 1 tx when what you need is mode 2 (throttle and rudder on the left stick)if you do a search on the forums I believe that the esky tx can be changed around

The manual showed the rudder on the opposite stick as the throttle for both mode 1 and 2. I thought they are supposed to be on the same stick...throttle is on the left on mine.

yes they are,on mode two throttle and rudder(tail) are left stick.I thought mode one was opposite,I'm wondering if the heli was set up wrong at manufacture.if you disconnect a main motor wire or unscrew the motor and move the pinion out of mesh you can connect the battery and check that the throttle lifts the swashplate evenly and check the rest of the controls as well and see if something is out of wack

After turning it on, everything was set up right. Can't expect much from a Chinese manual I guess. First battery, had it hovering about 6 inches off the ground in a 2 foot circle. Not bad. The heading lock gyro works pretty well. Can't wait to have another go.
