ive been flying with G4 for a while with my dx6i, a mono 3.5mm cable, with PPJoy and SmartPropo

while this setup works and all, something still feels missing and is very complicated to get working properly. i have constant issues with calibrating and i get confused and frustrated at times.. but once i do get a good setup going its enjoyable.

im just wondering if a usb cable will alleviate me having to use and install ppjoy and smartpropo?? Will G4 automatically recognize my tx without any of that additional software? I just wanna simplify my experience with sim software.

if you recommend a cable, can you point to me one from ebay or somewhere located in the usa?? or from a buyer that youve bought from??
thanks!!

i guess i can stand to buy something from hong kong, but would hate the wait which will be like a couple weeks im sure.

I'm intrigued, wouldn't G4 of come with its own dedicated USB interface ? - if it didn't, how come you managed to get it to run with the sound card and virtual port software ??

I use dx6i with AFPD and this cable with no problem. It also works with FMS.

thats interesting. I assume that is as a secondary interface as AFPD requires its own dedicated interface that also acts as a software protection dongle.
