I have searched this forum and found plenty of references to this radio but nothing that i would call specific.

Apart from the cost of the thing is it a good radio?

I am looking for something with split control of 4 motors so this would seem to be a great choice, i am also looking for at least 8 functions from it for turret rotation/turret elevation and with the extra modules it would again seem to be the choice.

So in short, is there anything i should know about it before taking the plunge?

i know it's not a 2.4Ghz machine and could not find anything to say it could be converted.

thanks all

It's a nice FM radio, Futaba guts as I understand.

For even more $$, you can get a fancy Euro freq FM Robbe or Graupner radio that will accept a 2.4 GHz module and the same sort of expansion widgets...

Anything you want but at a cost......

To be honest i'm not too bothered about the 2.4 Ghz conversion, would be nice but not essential in my book.

hi guy's i have a couple of the F14 & a F14 navy (twin sticks) the crystall access is annoying having to take the whole back of the unit off each time

(& after time the 'slideing' retaining clips were out (ive lost one because of this :( ) so ive made this 'mod' to my units

you will need a 1' inch blanking grommet drill a hole to fit the grommet

& ive added a loop of cord to make it easyer to 'pull out the grommet'

ive found this works very well regards ray
