I'm building an airplane total weight 2.5 lbs. Can someone suggest the best way to rig twin brushless 2808 motors running off one battery? How do the 2 esc connect to the receiver? Thanks for your help.

just my .02 worth
The battery will need a male to 2 female connector (parallel- if I'm thinking correctly)
Rx. Depends on you're radio I believe. if you have a computer radio that has a free channel that can be linked to the throttle stick in the mix channels you may be able to choose which channel you plug the extra esc into.
What TX do you have?

Presumably when you ask about connecting your two ESCs to the receiver you have in mind using BEC functions?
If so I have found that a simple y-lead is fine. This uses both BECs in the ESCs and any slight mismatch is unlikely to be critical. Each will be supplying approximately half of the power for receiver and servos - which is better than having to rely on only one ESC for all the power.
Running two ESCs off one set of power cells dictates keeping the input wires short. If you need to extend wires to reach the motors, do it on the three wires between ESCs and motors.
