I have developed a system that can drive a model car or boat using GPS
guidance. So far I have tested it on a model car and was wondering how
well it would work on a boat to return it to the water's edge when out
of range. Alternatively you could use it to give your boat a long
straight run to see what it's top speed really is or to fine tune an
engine.

I first tested it in the dark with an rc car. The car disappered off
in a large field following a number of way points I had programmed in to
it. A few minutes passed and then it reappeared - to my great delight!
I couldn't see or hear it due to the fact it was almost pitch black
out.

It's quite a sight to see something you made drive itself around all on
its own.

Should work well in a boat.

That's it. Or you could program in a route if desired.

Sounds interesting. Any more details you like to share, size, weight,
power source, how it controls the servos?
