Streaming NEMA into GE 5.0?

Does anybody happen to know how to get direct streaming of GPS into GE 5.0?

We can't seem to get it to work.

Well I got it to work but not directly, I am still having to use GooPs Pro.

I know there is a way to avoid GooPs but cant seem to figure it out.

Anyhow, most people are having problems with the fact that they are using a USB device. Serial ports are best, as it takes a while for the USB to properly sync up with the feed.

What I have done that makes it work is to simply start recording, then go through the history tab and try to import; it will scan all the com ports and give an error. Then wait about 2 minutes. It WILL pick it up (assuming your USB isn't at fault). You can always convert your modem connection to a serial cable, and it should pick it up immediately.

I think it uses Garmin binary protocol which is 2-way protocol, not easy to cheat.
