Hi all, I want to buy the Star Fire EDF.101mm from Nitroplanes.com, but nobody knows where I can get the eletric motor and battery that I need for that plane, not even the seller...

They have other models too, but bigger in size, but they all ask for the same requirements:

EDF .101MM / 4.0 IN X 1PC
BRUSHLESS MOTOR : D36 X L 50MM X 1PC ; 2200 kv

I'm new to EDF's I don't even know if this motor should be Inner or Outter........Can any one help?? :o Thanks

Here's the link:http://www.nitroplanes.com/starfire-edf.html

Ressurecting and old thread....

You can use whatever you want as far as the motor, with the intent of matching the motor to your power requiements and battery packs.

Yeah that doesn't sound like an answer but for electrics you have to start off asking "what do you expect in terms of performance" and then design according to that.

The Nitroplanes EDF fits this plane fine and it will accept motors up to 36mm.

They Haoye EDF units will accept 45mm motors but may need a bit of re-inforcement around the motor mount.

Of course there is the lack of intake ducting to deal with too.
