I am a newbie to both this site and the RC Heli hobby. I am trying to pick up as much information as I can before I attempt to “take flight”. So far I am still grounded and I am requesting some help to get me going.

Some background first. I just purchased the 4 CH Hummer-370XL HSM-01. Included in the package was a Simulator Kit (driver, cable and TX). The label on the front of the TX reads: Digital Proportional Channels 6 Radio Control System. On the back is a Trainer Port. The cable supplied with the kit attached to the back of the TX but not my Microsoft Windows XP Laptop computer. The supplied cable has a female Serial plug, matching the one on the computer. So I bought a male Serial plug to USB converter wire. I loaded the driver supplied with the new cable and inserted the SKY simulator disc in the (D) drive.

Results of my actions: I am able to use the keyboard to control the Heli but when I try using the TX I get nothing. The Heli just sits on the launch pad and slowly rotates. Can you please give me a direction in which to turn? You help would be greatly appreciated!

Best option would be to purchase one of the cheap USB interfaces that hooks up to your transmitter, rather than try and get the driver to work with XP.

Where would someone find one of these interfaces?
Google "FMS USB interface" then choose one.

You did boot the pc w/ the cable plugged in and go to controlpanel/gamecontrollers and calibrate it? If so just get a usb fms cable for10.00
