Hi,
My uncle gave me a Bristol that he used OS .70 engine size. I want to convert to electric, so what do I need to know so I can buy a right motor which not under power or not over power.
Thanks for all your advice.

No takers eh. You will be fine with something like an Axi 4130 or Power 60.

Something spooky's happened to this thread! I swear I and several others replied but ... Bermuda triangle ... Marie Celeste and all that!
Didn't you tell us it was 4 pounds without power train and 72" span?
And I said it was the same span as my Miles Messenger which weighed 4 pounds AUW and flies on 2s LiPos a TP3520-670 motor costing £20 and with a 14"x8 wooden prop?
Or have I just had a most unusual dream?

It is 4 lbs without engine. It is 64" wingspan.
I ordered motor TR 50-55A and it is on the way.

Thought I was going nuts!
Searched other topics in case the thread was in two different places...
Actually, while doing maintenance on the Messenger I found I had mis-remembered the prop - it's a 14x10. Upped the pitch a bit to get a bit more airspeed after the first few flights.
