I pinged Troy Built about their new lineup of Warbirds. I asked about the Corsair they have advertised, but only got the reply that they don't know anything about it. "Sign up for the news letter" is all they allowed. Surely someone is in the know here. Has there been any advanced info in the model mags? They say they will be at least 80 inches and all have the retracts included. Prices for the Zero and P-40 (coming soon) are over $1K. The models are setup so that the outboard wings plug in without any pneumatic hassle. I guess the ailerons still need to be plugged in however. I hope they get some good response from the big scale guys.

If there is anything on the Corsair, I guess I missed it.

Guess I'll update my own post. I saw a TB Zero in Army green at the field on Sunday. I was very impressed on the appearance of the model. I have the CMP 1/5 scale Zero and this is another step above that and slightly larger. The plug in outboard wings are the most handy thing on the model. Keeps the LG setup permanently. Very good detail and the LG is VERY stout! Really set up nice. This guy had a big gas engine for power. He was going to maiden it but had tailwheel problems on takeoff. He thought he had an air leak since it retracted and gave no directional control on takeoff. He'll get it going I'm sure.
