:) Hey all,

Im not a computer wizard, so you will hav to keep it simple.

I just received a USB to receiver cable in the post with FMS files on a disc labled "Driver".
I put the disk in the drive and for the life of me cannot find the istallation program, so what i did was go directly to the FMS website and downloaded FMS 2.0 Alpha 8.3. The program downloaded with no problems, but now i cant seem to get the receiver to work.

When i go into the settings screen on my comuter (HP running windows XP) and cheak, it i regesting movement on the control sticks then but not in the game.
Has anyone used a USB to transmitter cord for FMS or is there another program i need to get a connection to the actual game?

Any input would be helpfull :) Thanks in advance, jarred

Receiver or transmitter ? And exactly what receiver or transmitter are you trying to use ? And what type of cable is it i.e. what make, where from ?

For most interfaces the "Driver" is only needed for older PC operating systems e.g. Win 98.

BTW you should be using FMS 2 Alpha 8.5...there's no good reason for using the old alpha version.

Make sure the USB cable is showing up in windows as a game controller.

Make sure the transmitter has batteries and is turned on (very common mistake)

Or if it's a Spektrum or JR it has batteries and is NOT turned on (fairly common mistake ;)).

How ?

The purpose of these forums is to exchange information. If you state the make and model of the interface, the transmitter you are using and the way you resolved the issue it will provide a reference post for anyone else having similar problems

Very true,

Well all he did was make sure the program/usb driver programs that were on the disk and the fms sim that was downloaded off the net were put in the same file directory than everything worked perfect..
