looking at the blade cx2 and says 5 channel.
Whats the differance between 4 & 5
Is this a good heli to start off or should i be looking at something different for $180 ?

It's probably for lights or gyro gain. A coax uses 4 channels, more than that is bling. There's nothing wrong with a CX2, but an E-Sky Lama V4 is a lot cheaper and very comparable in all respects. The biggest difference is the CX2 you can buy at your LHS.

That size coax heli is a decent place to start. You will find it's harder than you thought and you will crash and break stuff. It's part of the process. Some people start with a Blade MCX, which is much easier to fly and less likely to break. But, it's flight characteristics are not representative of any other heli, so it won't teach you much.

Is this a good heli to start off or should i be looking at something different for $180 ?When you say "start off", it seems you're implying that you might like to step up to bigger/more advanced helis after a while? If that's the case, get a cheap decent coax, such as a Lama, and save the rest of your money for the next heli. The CX2 has a five channel transmitter and a six channel receiver (which can be useful for other models) but as far as flying goes, only four channels are used.

Thanks.
I actually have the Lama V4. Since I cant get any parts local and killing my down time, I was talked into the CX3. so I can just get a part when needed and get local support from my LHS.
My Lama flys and hovers like out of the box and I don't even crash much after 2 weeks.
THE CX2 wont fly stright (nose dive left and down) adjusting and FULL trim it toilet bowles.
Asked the LHS for help getting adjusted (he said it would cost me a lot because it take a long time. I crashed, broke the cheap landing gear and NOBODY has it local in stock.
Lesson learned for when I upgrade.
