"Red Shoes" Show -CBS- (Rob Lowe)

Nice Christmas Show just over on the tube ....filmed last summer just down the road in Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia. My wife was driving by the graveyard and noticed it all decked out in artificial snow for the opening and closing scenes.....this was last August..!

Anyway, it looked real..!

CBS Special

...Lawrenctown Beach ! When I lived in Dartmouth we would swim there occasionally and was the water cold.
My cousin told me about some filming there last summer. Is that the one Jeremy Akerman was in called "The Christmas Shoes " ?
I don't watch CBS so I missed it !

I worked on that last month...

Cute little town, I wondered where it was
The mom (the one that lived) was very cute too, and nice...

RE: "I worked on that last month"...

...in what capacity did you work on that...? Editing..?

The few graveyard scenes and the meeting with the fishermen was done in the Lawrencetown Beach area.....some of the "in town" scenes were on Portland Street, Dartmouth, where the cars are parked on slightly raised brick parking areas beside the street......yes ole New Democratic Party leader Jeremy was in it as Mr Wilson....along with Bill Carr as the doctor and a number of ex Black Harbour cast members ....all in all a good production...

Yup, Actually dialog and ADR editing...

That scene where he meets with the farmers by the bridge and they thank him... All the other farmers voices were added in by yours truly.

All the crud I work on to make a living, it's nice to work on a redeeming project every so often.

You mean Christmas Shoes?

I really dont know why I watched it, must of been very bored. Yes it was a very nice looking town.

However, It was supposed to be a christmas movie, and a little boys mom dies on xmas eve? Their Grandma the day before? Screwed up movie.

Yeah, what were they thinking of ......nobody dies the day before Christmas...let alone on Christmas Day .....well, except for Dino..!

Actually these things DO happen, just not to you or I .....yet!

Movie was good, a slice of life, factual, thought provoking...etc..
